If is only two letters and seems so insignificant when placed in a sentence. However, some of the most profound truths come in small word packages. If is identified as a conditional particle. Meaning there are conditions or circumstances upon which consequences will follow. We all became acquainted with the word “if” as a child when parents began to teach us about life. If you eat your carrots I will… or If you don’t finish you homework I will … one of my favorite is, if you do that one more time, I will! Well, you get the idea how we learned so much about the word if.
The road called if is filled with Blessings, Judgments, and Opportunities every step of the way, be sure to choose wisely as you journey. The Bible uses the word if over 1500 hundred times, helping us to set and maintain a course of right decisions, giving us clear understanding of the way (Jesus Christ) that leads to Eternal Life.
Romans 10:9 “if we confess the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in our hearts…”
Mark 9 :23 “if you can believe all things are possible to him that believeth”
Romans 8:31 “if God be for us, who can be against us?”
John 15:7 “If you abide in me and my words abide in you..”
I John 1:9 “if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive …”
Even for our Nation (our world)
2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then, will I hear from heaven, and forgive their sin, and heal their land.”
The bible is more than just a great book, it is the Word of our Living God.
If only we would read it!
