Faith Words Today- Believe

A Word of Faith

“Believe”

Do you believe in God and that He is the self-existent one? Well don’t pat yourself one the back to heard. So do demons, and the bible states, they tremble, James 2:19. However, demons have absolutely no faith in God, but as Believers, we do. Belief, standing, alone is not faith. Faith is assured of who God is and knows what our God can and will do. Belief expects something to happen and believes that it will sooner or later. Faith is Now, and lays hold on the Word (promises) of God by saying and doing what first started out as their belief, Hebrews 11:1. In Mark 11:24, what things soever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them.  The original language says, believe that you received them, and you shall have them. How can we believe in advance that we have already received what we ask for when we don’t yet have it??? Simply add FAITH to what you believe! Faith acts only on, and with the truth of what God has spoken to us through His Word. Our beliefs can often be very passive, by just waiting and believing something good is going to eventually happen of course unless unbelief sets in (now that’s another subject). Yet, Faith requires action (works), which places a demand to do what we truly believe. And so, faith without works is dead James 2:17. So believe it, use your faith, it’s yours! Sound to good to be true? Just wait until you read the rest of the book … the Just actually live by faith. Paul says, “that is the word of faith which we preach;” Rom. 10:8.

Keep the faith, believe, and receive,
