A Word of Faith
“Wait”
Have you ever had to wait for something you wanted or needed desperately? Or have you ever heard the Spirt of the Lord speak directly to your heart and say, be still and wait? Well, you’re not alone. Every believer I have ever spoken to about this, has experienced waiting on God. It doesn’t necessarily mean it’s lack of your faith, but that God is working behind the scenes of our request, putting together something far greater than we could ever imagine. Therefore, WAIT on Him. No, not on it, whatever your desire may be, but rather wait upon the Lord.
Waiting on the Lord is much more than a feeling of being impatiently kept on hold until we receive the answer to our needs. Waiting on God is very much like unto what waiters do when they are busy serving others they are assigned to. You see my friend, while God’s working on the circumstances of our needs, we should be waiting on (serving) Him! Have you noticed when we’re busy doing the Lord’s service, time has a way of passing by quickly?
So let me leave you with this thought. What (who) are you waiting on?? I hope and pray it’s the Lord.
Isaiah 40:31 “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
I pray your hearts desires are answered as you wait upon our Lord. And while you’re waiting, remember God is still working. (Psalm 25:4-5)
