Faith Words Today “Treasure”

As a child not too many things excited me more than a good Treasure hunt. No real treasure was involved, but to search out, following every clue by detail until (it), the treasure was discovered, now that was something very special.

Did you know God has given to each of us hidden treasure? Not for us to search out and find, but He has hidden this very precious treasure within us. And this treasure is be exhibited and lived before the world that they may know …. we didn’t find this precious treasure; our Heavenly Father gave it to us freely.

2 Corinthians 4:7 “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.” Yes, God placed this priceless (like no other) gift within our human flesh allowing us to know that we did not do this, but this precious treasure called “Eternal Life” has been given freely to us and lived through faith by the power of God Himself! Wow! Now that’s real treasure! The Apstle Paul called it the “Unspeakable gift”, 2 Cor. 9:15. “He that hath the son hath life, and he that hath not the son hath not life.” 1 John 5:12. Meaning that without the gift of our Savior, Jesus Christ the Life giver, our earthen vessels (flesh), the Greek word is (ostrakinos) meaning fragile clay vessels. Teaching us we would never be able to contain this valuable treasure but by the excellency of the power of God within us. Amen! What’s inside this treasure??? Read next week Faith Words for a revealing of the treasures within.
