Faith Words Today “Truth”

Let’s continue our thoughts on the scripture John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man cometh unto the Father but by me.” Previously, we discussed the way, and today I would like to take a closer look at the truth.

What is true is not always the truth. The bible teaches and promises us “and by His stirpes, we are healed” Isaiah 53:5. Peter writes in I Peter 2:24 “by whose stripes you were healed”. And any many other scriptures tell us to lay hands upon and pray for the sick that they may be healed. What currently may be true in your or in my life, be it health, family, finances or whatever. It can be gloriously converted to the truth, (giving Christ the final say so in all matters of our lives), after our Lord Jesus Christ is glorified in it!

You see there is a big difference between what is fact and what is truth. It may be a real fact the doctor’s report is not good, the divorce papers have been served, or the threat of bankruptcy is apparent.  However, the TRUTH is when God has His way in our lives, when by faith in the name of Jesus, we lay hold on the word of truth and proclaim He is greater than the facts of life, miraculous things begin to happen.

John 8:31-32 “Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

Not only is Jesus the Truth but on the cross as He was offering His life as the supreme sacrifice for sin, as He prayed to the Father He said these words, John 17:17 “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” The good news is now we can hide the truth in our hearts every day, as we read and believe the Words of the Living Lord, Jesus.
