Most of us have experienced the emotional question of, when is something going to change. You’ve prayed, believed, seemingly waited, but nothing seems to be working. So, what’s going on? First, let me say that God hasn’t forsaken you and He never will withhold any good thing from them who walk uprightly. As a believer, He heard your request the moment you spoke it. Because He is a Sovereign God, (our Lord) will answer us at the exact moment when His will and purpose for our lives will bring the greatest Great Glory to His name and lasting benefits to our lives. Here are a few examples.

“The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands” (Psalm 138:8 ESV). When noting seems to happen in your spiritual walk with the Lord. It’s time to strengthen your faith and by remembering (re-reading), the Word of God. And I trust you remember, Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love the God, to them who are the called according to his purpose”.

While in captivity with little to no hope of ever being free again. Three young Hebrew men make a choice to serve and honor God regardless the consequences. Although nothing was happening to free them, they used their faith to change their circumstances, by refusing to bow down to worship the Kings idol, (Daniel 3:17-18).

“And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire”, (Daniel 3:23-26) with not even the smell of some upon them.

The good news dear friends, God is always doing something for us and He is always with us! Find peace in the in this truth, Philippians 1:6 “being confident of this very thing, that he who hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the Day of Jesus Christ.”
