Faith Words Today “Why”

This is an age-old question that we have all asked at one time or another, why? However, most of the time our why’s appear to go unanswered. Why, can make us question our faith, doubt our reasoning, doubt with unbelief and often our why, wants a definitive answer such as “I want to know why, and I want to know right now”! Why am I going through this again? Why did they do that? Why is this happening to me? Why? Why? Why???

If you say it enough times, it almost sounds like the word, (whine). Asking a question so we may learn or have a better knowledge of understanding about a thing or matter, is never wrong. Yet could it be that we should be asking a better question such as, what should I do now, or perhaps, how can than this be?

“Lord, what do you want me to do” Acts 9:5-6, is the question Saul of Tarsus asked of Jesus on the road to Damascus after he was struck blind. “How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?” Luke 1:34, is the question Mary asked of the Angel Gabriel upon his announcement that she would give birth to the Son of God, and His name would be called Jesus. These were questions that lead them both to the right answers.

It is a fact that we all use the word “Why”, from time to time in our lives. Just make sure when you ask, why? It doesn’t leave a big empty question in your heart. Why? Because the Word of the Lord always leaves us with Hope.

Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.”
